My work speaks for itself

This project is about telling a story in a dark game world. The player explores the space and discovers the story through the environment, mood, and visuals. It’s inspired by psychological horror and is meant to feel immersive and a little unsettling.

“The Last Mask”

“The Last Mask” is a dark third-person horror game where the player explores a foggy village and collects hidden masks under time pressure. The experience combines environmental storytelling, minimal dialogue, and a moody red-and-black UI.

I developed this project using Unreal Engine, focusing on both the visual design and the technical implementation of gameplay.

Built the environment using modular assets and scene composition

Used Blueprints to create basic interactions and player navigation

Experimented with lighting to shape mood and guide player attention

Structured the environment to control movement, pacing, and discovery

Adjusted the layout to create a clearer and more engaging experience

Throughout the process, I challenged myself to combine aesthetic design with technical execution, learning how small changes in lighting, scale, and placement can completely transform the player’s experience.

This series of collectible masks represents key elements of the game’s narrative. Each mask carries its own story, revealing fragments of the world and its hidden past. To enhance the storytelling, short video sequences created using AI and Adobe After Effects accompany each piece, bringing the masks to life and adding emotional depth to the experience.

This blueprint controls the interaction between the player and collectible items. When the player approaches a mask, a trigger activates a sound effect and registers the item as collected. The system then communicates with the puzzle logic, updating progress, and removes the object from the scene.

This setup demonstrates my use of Unreal Engine Blueprints to create interactive gameplay mechanics and connect player actions with game progression.

Crown of Lies

A crown built on deception. Authority that hides the truth always falls.

Bone Surgeon

A healer who crossed the line. He fixed bodies by breaking souls, turning pain into obsession.

Dead Bull

A symbol of strength that turned into violence. Power without control destroys everything.
